Medgar Evers Statue Memorial

It's appropriate that our civil rights pilgramage began in a light snow in Jackson Mississippi with me looking up at Medger Evers, the first civil rights hero who moved me. I learned later that Medger Evers, like many other black World War Two veterans came home from war determined to achieve democracy for all in their own nation.

  2. This is an amazing journey you and Bob are on. What a wonderful way to display your photos and words so that anyone can read them. Bill will be very interested I know. As a matter of fact I see this as an incredible travelogue that you could make a book about or submit to travel magazines. Thanks for allowing us to step along with you as you breathe in the history of our lifetime.
